This week’s questions involve grilling recipes, movies, toothpaste, Father’s Day, and over reacting.
1. What’s something you intended to do today, but didn’t?
Laundry. It is the my arch nemesis. I can never keep up.
2. What’s your favorite grilling recipe?
Grilled veggies with a Chimichurri sauce. It is delicious! You could also add some protein (yum beef) to go with the veggies and the sauce. I would recommend a flank or skirt steak.
3. What movie did you see most recently?
I think the last movie I went to see was The Fault in Our Stars. I read the book last year, so I felt like I needed to see the movie. IT was wonderful, and I highly recommend it. I knew what was going to happen; I prepared my brain for it. However, I still cried like a baby. Ugly cried. I think it was a beautiful yet tragic love story, and John Green did a wonderful job of transforming his book into something so well done. Bravo!
4. Would you say your tendency is to over or under react to medical situations?
Over react. I get really overwhelmed with medical situations because I don’t really know much about anatomy or medicine. Also, I’m not the best when it comes to emergency situation. I kind of, maybe go into panic mode. That’s what my boyfriend is for. He is seriously THE BEST. He calmly takes care of things if it is an emergency, or he researches the heck out of a condition to better understand it (classic academic). This is not one of my strong suits.
5. Do you squeeze the toothpaste tube or roll it?
It depends on how tired/lazy I am. I try to roll it, but sometimes it’s easier to squeeze. However, I do roll it when it starts getting close to the end. I have to get the last of the toothpaste, or else I feel like I’m wasting money. Is that weird?
6. What are you doing for Father’s Day?
Since today is Father’s Day, I can tell you what I have done so far. I called my dad before going to mass. We live 8.5 hours away, so I can’t visit him for the weekend. I also spent some time in the adoration chapel to pray for my grandfathers and all the fathers I know who have passed away. I don’t want to forget all the wonderful people that have shaped my life even after they pass away. We shall see what else gets done today, but I feel like it will mainly consist of laundry (yuck) and Game of Thrones.
